Imani King is a writer,illustrator, concept artist, comic artist, and character animator. Through her art she tells compelling stories centered around complex characters and her interests in social, political, and economic issues. Imani is inspired by fluid movement, expressive lines, and the strong emotional connection that can form between the characters, the film, and the audience. Also, she draws influence from various concept artists, directors, writers, and animators such as Chris Sanders, Hayao Miyazaki, Ryan Woodward, Sachin Teng, Audra Auclair and Glen Keane. 

She is a graduate from the University of Central Florida, with a major in BFA Experimental Animation with a minor in Creative Writing.
